An Adventure To Be Had In Fairy Land .This book read like Alice and Wonderland meets the worlds of both Narnia and Middle Earth Having the story read in old Scot but still have the wit of a contemporary novel made the book and characters lively Now there is much to be learnt and understood if a reader is to truly get into the series so I highly suggest settling in for the evening, because you ll not want to stop till you ve read the last page.Born the only child to a marriage made in hopes of un [...]
You can see this and other reviews on my blog Book Nerd ParadiseThe first thoughts that came to mind after reading The Beltane Escape is that this is a mix of a medieval Scottish fantasy and Alice in Wonderland We start out with our main character, Fennela, with her Scottish brogue, as her home is quickly invaded by a rival clan and she s hauled off to become the betrothed of the third son of the nasty Lord Argonshire But not before her Gran brands her with a burning iron rod Before any wedding [...]
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL Everything about this book screamed whimsy adventure The plot, each word, and every single character that was imagined came to life in a magical way I ve come across very few authors who was engulf me the way Ariella did, but she was able to hook me with the first few paragraphs Fenella was a one of those main characters who developed as the story went on, and it made me appreciate her as the story went on Though there are literally about a hundred things that I would love g [...]
The Beltane EscapeBy Ariella Moon4Lady Fenella does not believe in myths or fairies She believes these to be stories and superstitions It is not long in her adventure that her beliefs are shattered In order to save her cousin, She finds herself in a shady part of the fairy world She finds a strength she didn t know she had She finds partners in people she never would have expected None of this was part of her plan She could never have imagined such an incredible journey. It is always fun to put a [...]
Arthurian legends mixed with fairy lureA fun fantasy story involving a girl with 2 paths before her Merlin and the Lady of the Lake appear young and mischievous.
The Lady Fenella is always under guard since she is a sought after trophy in the war between clans When she is kidnapped from her home, little did she know what would happen next Fenella is a pawn in a long created plot from the Lady of the Lake against Merlin, dropping Fenella in the middle of the between lands full of magical creatures and a slim chance of making her way home before the Beltane I went into this story with no expectations of any kind as well as no idea what the book was about I [...]
The Beltane Escape manages to seamlessly blend together a bit of magic, a bit of myth, and a whole lot of historical fiction Although I m not generally a fan of most historical fiction, if you throw in just enough magic to make it a Fantasy novel I ll gladly snatch it up I m happy to say that Ariella Moon succeeded at doing just that. When I first opened this book, and found myself in the middle of a fight between The Lady of the Lake and Merlin, I knew this would be something I d be interested i [...]
